jam backpackers has a variety of STUFFS to keeps you busy between games.
Day Tours

Pretoria:
A Visit to the Capitol of South Africa has many rewards.
Not the typical big City Feeling but more likely to charm you
with all the old Victorian style buildings and many parks.
Pretoria is a must see, and promises to have you awestruck with
all the places to see and visit.
Johannesburg:
South Africa’s biggest City. The richest and most diverse place
in our Country. From the wealthy Sandton City to the township
Alexandra neighbouring it.
Johannesburg promises to wow you in every way.
We have daily tours to many historical places including The
Apartheids Museum and Soweto where Nelson Mandela stayed.
Cullinan:
Cycle back in time into an immaculately restored, yet living,
growing community that is as much about the future as the past.
Cullinan, the precious gem, is 30 minutes drive from Tshwane
(Pretoria) and less than an hour from Johannesburg.
Clusters of original stone miner's cottages, a
turn-of-the-century railway station and authentic buildings
flank the jacaranda and oak tree lined avenue.
The Edwardian setting of the Cullinan mining town, has a proud
involvement in heritage and conservation matters. The 2nd
World War POW's left behind amazing art works and
architectural reminders of their stay in Cullinan and
surrounding areas. The largest allied prisoner of war camp in
Africa was established here and the graves of 264 Italian
prisoners are still preserved.
The famous architect, Sir Herbert Baker, also left
his mark on our village, as he designed the beautiful St
George's Anglican stone church in Oak Avenue.
Big 5 Safari:
Dinokeng is Africa’s newest Big5 Game Reserve. Jam Backpackers
are situated right inside it. We do daily tours inside Dinokeng
where one can easily find the Big5.
We are also a departure point for longer tours right up to
21days.

Birding Safari:
Located in between 5 Birding Hotspots, Jam Backpackers is an
ideal base for any Birder.
Our guides are esteemed birders and will point out all types of
wonderful birds even for the untrained eye.
10 min from Seringveld Conservancy.
5 min from Roodeplaat Dam Nature Reserve.
Next to De Tweedespruit Conservancy.
25 min from Rust de Winter and within easy reach
to Mkombo Dam.
Within an hours’ drive from Tswaing Meteorite Crater,
Zaagkuildrift and Kgomo-Kgomo.

White Lion Safari:
The day visitors program contains lion readings, game drives and
eco routes. We also feature archery. The lion readings start off
on the deck, with a great view of the surrounding valleys and
mountains. Here we give you the primary presentation on lions,
along with our theories and facts. After this we head down to
the camps, where the 3 lions can be viewed from about 4metres,
while we show you the practical counterparts of the pre-given
theories and facts, while the lions are being fed. This takes up
to an hour and a half.
